June is the Most Popular Month for Weddings, Why is That?
History indicates that the Roman goddess for marriage, Juno, was honored by Romans being married in June.
Although the Roman tradition is no longer practiced as religiously, the tradition clearly did become very popular over the years!
Another tradition was that couples wanted to time the conception of their first child so that the wife wasn’t too far along in her pregnancy to be able to labor during harvest time! (thanks guys, that was nice of ya!)
Another reason for popular June weddings dates back to the 1400’s and 1500’s. June was time for the annual bath so being cleaned up already it just made sense to have a wedding.
Really, traditions are interesting for their origins. Today we of course don’t have the same reasons for June weddings. Apparently the timing became a popular one and it stuck.
June is Also a Beginning of Summer
The weather is usually warm and sunny which makes for a great time to celebrate.
Trends seem to be changing as the later months of summer are becoming more popular choices for weddings. August has apparently taken the lead according to some statistics compiled by Hallmark Cards.
Our venue is large enough to accommodate a crowd of around 300 comfortably, smaller crowds are welcome here as well.
Our hall has been likened to a European Manor with an elegant atmosphere of vaulted ceilings with wooden beams, chapel, dance floor, dining hall and lush lawns for outdoor functions.
